This is my illustrated travel journal of Israel.
I first drew the plants in my own backyard, then gave in to the wanderlust, and began traveling the country to paint, usually with my good friend and fellow artist Lena Umansky.
We discovered the joy of Plein-Air painting, and every week we pick a place and go.
Israel is a land of contradictions and immense diversity, all packed tightly inside a small patch of earth.
Our travels take us from ancient holy sites to bustling 21st century cities, from our own home gardens to the wild desert, and always returning to the man-made landscapes, that are so typical to Israel.
Israel Illustrated is the name of my other website. It's where I write as well as draw - Check it out!
