There is a treed boulevard by the bridge over the Ada Stream,
Purple Jacarandas on one side, yellow Cassia Fistulas on the other.
Each side blooms at a different time, and so the boulevard changes color according to the season.
I sat on the path running parallel to the stream with all my Plein-air equipment and drew a sketch in gouache.
The going was difficult, because people and vehicles kept going by, and when some enormous agricultural machine came to bale the hay in the nearby field I had to scramble out of the way.
But I got a sketch!
Back at the studio, in peace and quiet, I tried to find the color of the trees at the exact moment when they melt into the sky.
